Dr. Lang is the owner of Lauderdale Eye Specialists and has been in practice for over 25 years. Dr. Dalia Girgis specializes in general ophthalmology and cataract surgery. Dr. Girgis received her doctoral degree in microbiology from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans in 2004. She received her Doctorate of Medicine in 2008 from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she was elected to the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. After completing an internship in internal medicine at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida, Dr. Girgis completed her ophthalmology residency at University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she was elected chief resident. She has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Drew Bawcombe, M.D.

Dr. Bawcombe is a board certified, fellowship trained vitreo-retinal surgeon. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a full complement of retinal problems including diabetic retinopathy, macular pucker, macular hole, macular degeneration, and retinal detachment repair. Dr. Bawcombe has active interests in retinal laser and imaging technology in diagnosing retinal diseases. He completed his MD at University of Buffalo in 2005. He then attended Virginia Commonwealth University where he completed his preliminary year of medicine in 2006 and his ophthalmology residency in 2009. Dr. Bawcombe served as Chief Resident for a one-year term during his residency program. While a native of New York, he was excited at the chance to learn vitreo-retinal surgery at the University of Florida during a two year training period where he participated in hundreds of surgeries learning the most advanced procedures.

Phillip A. Tenzel, M.D.

Dr. Phillip Tenzel is a third-generation ophthalmologist specializing in oculoplastics, orbital surgery, and oculofacial cosmetic surgery. Dr. Tenzel received his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and then completed his intern year at JFK Hospital/Palm Beach Regional Campus of University of Miami. His training continued in New York City at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, where he completed his ophthalmology residency and a fellowship in Adult Strabismus and Pediatric Ophthalmology. Dr. Tenzel then received advanced training in oculoplastics, orbital surgery, and periocular reconstructive and cosmetic surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has been recognized for excellence in resident teaching and mentorship.

Jade Gieseke Guevara, M.D., M.S.

Dr. Jade Gieseke Guevara is a board-certified Ophthalmologist specializing in cornea and external disease. She earned her medical doctorate at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville. In medical school, Dr. Guevara was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors society as well as the prestigious Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed her ophthalmology residency and was elected Chief Resident at the University of Florida. She continued her training after residency with a fellowship in Cornea and External Disease. Dr. Guevara is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and Women in Ophthalmology, and has presented her research at the regional and national level. She is experienced in laser-assisted cataract surgery, the implantation of toric and multifocal intraocular lenses, and corneal transplantation.
