James Lang, M.D.

Dr. Lang is the owner of Lauderdale Eye Specialists and has been in practice for over 25 years. With a strong following of loyal patients, Dr. Lang is a well trusted physician in the South Florida community. Dr. Lang specializes in general ophthalmology and Cataract Surgery. Drew Bawcombe, M.D.

Dr. Bawcombe is a board certified, fellowship trained vitreo-retinal surgeon. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a full complement of retinal problems including diabetic retinopathy, macular pucker, macular hole, macular degeneration, and retinal detachment repair. Dr. Bawcombe has active interests in retinal laser and imaging technology in diagnosing retinal diseases. He completed his MD at University of Buffalo in 2005. He then attended Virginia Commonwealth University where he completed his preliminary year of medicine in 2006 and his ophthalmology residency in 2009. Dr. Bawcombe served as Chief Resident for a one-year term during his residency program. While a native of New York, he was excited at the chance to learn vitreo-retinal surgery at the University of Florida during a two year training period where he participated in hundreds of surgeries learning the most advanced procedures.

Dr Mitchell Greenberg, M.D., M.S.

Dr. Mitchell Greenberg, M.D., M.S. is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who specializes in medical and surgical management of cataracts, glaucoma, anterior segment conditions and complete ophthalmic treatment. Dr. Greenberg prides himself in providing patients the most advanced surgical care with cutting-edge technology and novel technique. Dr. Greenberg is originally from Chicago, Illinois and obtained his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor.

After completing a Master’s of Biological Sciences, he earned his medical degree at the Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois. After graduation, he completed a medical internship at the University of Central Florida and residency at the esteemed John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, Illinois. During this time, he provided medical and surgical rehabilitation for tens of thousands of underserved, low-resource patients. Dr. Greenberg has also been actively involved in medical research. He has authored three book chapters on anterior segment ophthalmic diseases and numerous additional research studies, which have been presented at national and international conferences.

Dr. Greenberg is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology,American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and the Florida Society of Ophthalmology. Dr. Greenberg looks forward to serving the community with professional ophthalmic care.
